Another baptism this week! We completed the couple - Tony
and Tina, so now they're both members. Can't wait to go to the Temple with
them for their Temple sealing. As always, it was great listening to him sharing
his testimony at the end of the meeting. His wife gave a talk about the
Holy Ghost. They're going through a lot of trials right now, but she has
a great outlook. She said God gives her these trials to help her learn
and grow. That's how you succeed!
During a visit with one of our investigator families this
week, he found out that sometimes our phone doesn't receive text
messages. So he tried to give us a phone, but we couldn't take it.
Sometimes Chinese people are too nice! When he found out we had to help
some people move houses, he tried to get us to use his truck that he just
bought but doesn't drive, because it's not convenient. Unfortunately we
had to turn that offer down too.
Introducing the Savior, Jesus Christ, and His Atonement to people is what has allowed them to get this light in their eyes, this joy in their homes, and this peace in their hearts. It's just so incredible to witness firsthand and I'm so grateful to have this opportunity out here in 100+ degree Riverside
